Oviva is a digital behaviour change provider. Our team of specialist healthcare professionals combined with our unique digital tools support patients to improve their health and better self-manage their conditions.

Oviva worked with leading experts in diabetes education and behavioural change to develop Oviva Diabetes Support. Oviva Diabetes Support is an evidence-based, NICE-aligned personalised structured education programme, that improves clinical outcomes to drive reductions in HbA1c, blood pressure, cholesterol and medication needs.

Oviva Diabetes Support is highly accessible, demonstrating superior accessibility, patient engagement and retention compared to face-to-face care, especially in harder to reach groups. Care can be delivered in over 22 languages and we are able to support deaf and/or visually impaired people.

During the programme participants have access to a range of tailored materials, including our NHS Digital approved app and Learn portal to support behaviour change and empower them to self-manage their health even after the programme ends. Access to these tools is free for life.

Oviva Diabetes Support drives significant cost savings for the NHS and wider social system. In year QIPP savings (£2.52 in-year NHS savings for every £1 invested) can be recognised through reduced medication needs, reduced primary and secondary care service use, significantly lower per patient delivery costs, and reduced payment by results activity.

We support achieving the NHS Oversight Framework diabetes metrics as Oviva Diabetes Support increases structured education attendances by over 50%, and the clinical benefits support achievement of the three diabetes treatment targets.

Oviva can support pathway redesign to release primary care and dietetic service resources, and we can take on waiting lists to release capacity for those with greater clinical need. In addition, access to a remote programme enables continuity of care, while services, including primary care are disrupted.
