Locum’s Nest Match revolutionises the formation of regional staff banks, meaning an ever-increasing pool of local, highly qualified staff is constantly at the organisation’s disposal. We support and enable collaborative staff bank for NHS organisations, sharing their workforce as a unit, in response to COVID-19 and beyond. In May we have seen a record breaking 91% shift fill rate across The Digital Collaborative Bank – a grassroots project founded in 2018 by Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital NHS FT and the Royal Surrey NHS FT and now consists of eight acute NHS Trusts. We have the capacity to rapidly create new COVID-19 collaborative staff banks to support regions STP/ICs as a whole.

In response to COVID-19 we have developed an innovative new dashboard to help the NHS to accurately predict workforce needs during the pandemic. For the first time, we are triangulating workforce data with government released COVID-19 cases across the UK, and publicly available ICU data in order to help healthcare organisations manage their workforce more effectively by forecasting supply and demand. Coupled with our new product Intelligence, it can forecast future workforce needs based on analytics, insights and has the ability to benchmark departments against each other as well as other NHS Trusts, allowing for collaboration, ensuring best practice and universal standards across the whole of the NHS.

Our new product Community can be an invaluable tool when it comes to communicating PPE guidelines, COVID-19 risk assessment forms and staff surveys to all staff members. Developed during the pandemic, with the aim of building a digital support to the healthcare organisation management teams: Community is a central portal with easy access for both users and staff, ensuring best-in-class communication across each NHS organisation

Recently, Kent Surrey Sussex Academic Health Science Network (KSS AHSN) conducted a six-month real-world cost-analysis on Locum’s Nest which highlighted up to £10 immediate savings for every pound invested on our collaborative staff bank model.
